Multnomah Falls, OR (KPTV) -

Multnomah County Search and Rescue coordinated a follow up search for Alissa McCran Saturday, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.

Alissa McCran was reported missing on December 19, 2015. Her car was later found on December 22 in the Multnomah Falls I-84 parking lot.

Portland Police requested MSCO Search and Rescue assistance after McCran’s car was found.

A three day Search and Rescue effort was led by the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office in an attempt to find McCran. The search was suspended on December 24 after search and rescue teams had covered over 150 miles of trails among worsening weather conditions.

The MSCO Green Hornet Wilderness Law Enforcement Service and Trail Rescue Team ‘Trail Hornets’ recently conducted a training in the area, and noted the improved conditions in the areas that were previously searched, and a reduction in snow that had made previous search efforts difficult.

MSCO Search and Rescue Coordinators then made the decision to coordinate a follow up search effort today.

Search and rescue teams from MCSO Search and Rescue, Pacific Northwest, Washington County Search and Rescue, Portland Mountain Rescue, along with Clackamas County SO Posse, two Mountain Wave HRD K9 teams, and a Clark County K9 HRD team participated in the search.

Approximately sixty searchers were expected to be in the field searching, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.

Mountain Wave Communications were also on scene providing radio communications support.
