PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The price of a gallon of gas is down 25 cents in the past month, bringing the statewide average to just over $2.00 per gallon.

As of Monday, the average price in Oregon was $2.094 for a gallon of regular unleaded, according to AAA.

The price has dropped nine cents in just the past week and continues to go down.

AAA said gas prices have been falling at the fastest rate in two months, thanks to dropping crude oil prices.

Washington's average is a little higher at $2.236 per gallon.

The nationwide average has already dropped below $2.00 gallon, standing at $1.826 Monday morning.
