TUALATIN, OR (KPTV) -

Police said they caught a prolific graffiti tagger known as "SEEK" with a can of spray paint in his hand.

Tualatin police asked for the public's help earlier this month after compiling 20 recent incidents of graffiti related to the same suspect.

Early Sunday morning, officers were doing extra patrols throughout the city, focusing on areas that had previously been tagged multiple times.

At 1:50 a.m., officers spotted a suspect spray painting graffiti. Michael Siegwald, 26, of Tualatin, was arrested on charges of first-degree criminal mischief and first-degree criminal trespass.

Police said Siegwald confessed to tagging multiple locations in the city. Property damage related to this suspect is estimated to be more than $5,000, according to investigators.

Police said additional charges are pending.
