PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A Portland snowboarder is bringing home the gold Friday!

Special Olympics athlete Henry Meece teamed up with Olympic snowboarder Chris Klug to compete in the first Unified Snowboarding Dual Slalom Race at the X-Games in Aspen.

This is the second time the 25-year-old athlete has won a gold medal, and he has worked hard to make it happen.

“I was telling myself multiple times, I can win this second gold, and my wish... my wish came true,” said Meece.

Meece says he’s not going to rest on his laurels, and plans to go for a ‘three-peat’ at next year’s games.
