CURRY COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

Massive sinkholes opened up on the southern Oregon coast and new video shared by the Oregon Department of Transportation shows the damage from the sky.

The sinkholes expanded on Thursday, swallowing part of the road near Highway 101 in the town of Harbor. There were no reports of injuries or damage to vehicles.

A detour was put in place around the highway Thursday night that is expected to last through next week. However, the highway is not expected to fully reopen for some time.

ODOT said the goal is to have all five lanes of the highway open by spring break.

In the meantime, transportation workers said traffic around the detour is going smoothly, with most drivers experiencing only 5-10 minute delays.

On Saturday, ODOT shared a second drone video from hobbyist Kyle Rice that showed the full scope of the damage.
