A man who attacked an 11-year-old boy, kidnapped a woman in a car at gunpoint and pulled a knife on another man asked the officers who caught him to just give him a ticket for underage drinking so he could leave, according to police.

The violent crime spree began on the 3100 block of Northwest Foxtail Place in Corvallis on Sunday.

A 911 caller reported that a man, later identified as 20-year-old Trenton Huber of Corvallis, approached their car and said, "I'm not going to hurt your family," as he attempted to open the locked doors.

Later, police said Huber approached a man and his 11-year-old son on a bike path near Northwest Shooting Star Drive and said he wanted to know the location of their house and car keys. Investigators said Huber grabbed the boy, put him in a headlock and almost choked him out.

The Benton County Jail lists Huber as 6'1" and 230 pounds.

The child's father hit Huber in the back until he released the boy, police said, and Huber responded by threatening to kill the father and son. They ran to their home and Huber did not follow.

Police said Huber then approached a woman in her 20s in a car at the intersection of Shooting Star Drive and Morning Glory Drive.

He knocked on her window and said he needed help, but investigators said when the woman rolled down her window, he pointed a handgun at her face and got into the backseat.

According to police, Huber kidnapped the woman with a gun to her head and forced her to drive out of the area. Detectives said he took her phone, fondled her, said she was going to "party with him and his friends" and struck her multiple times when he thought she was driving too fast or too slow.

At one point, police said Huber became enraged with the woman and kicked out a rear window.

The victim eventually convinced Huber to let her out of the car, police said, and she ran to a nearby business while he drove off in her car.

Huber parked the car in the driveway of a home on the 900 block of Northwest 25th Street, left the gun in the car, got out and walked a half block before pulling a knife on another man, according to police.

Officers said Huber slapped the man, told him he was coming with him and then handed the man the keys to the stolen car. The man got away and called 911.

Police said Huber was then spotted at a nearby home on the 2500 block of Northwest Lincoln Avenue after kicking open the back gate. As officers arrived, investigators said Huber jumped the fence into another yard and entered a home through an unlocked door.

A man in the home confronted Huber, according to police, but Huber grabbed him. The man was not injured and officers caught Huber as he left the home.

As he was being taken into custody, Huber told officers he had not hurt anyone and asked them to give him a citation for MIP – minor in possession of alcohol – so he could leave.

Huber was arrested on a long list of charges including robbery, kidnapping, menacing, unlawful use of a vehicle, unlawful use of a weapon, harassment, assault, pointing a firearm at another and third-degree sex abuse. His bail was set at $868,500.

Police said his crime spree lasted 29 minutes.
