Police arrest man accused of throwing rocks at Portland City Hall, breaking nine windows

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Police arrested a man accused of throwing rocks at Portland City Hall and breaking nine windows early Sunday morning.

Officers were flagged down by the nearby courthouse at Southwest 3rd and Salmon Street at 2:52 a.m. on a report of a man who was being held by security officers.

Police located the suspect, identified as 45-year-old Kevin Scott McQueen, and took him into custody.

Investigators learned McQueen broke out nine windows on the 4th Avenue side of City Hall before he was detained by security.

A possible motive was not released by investigators.

McQueen was booked in the Multnomah County Jail on charges of criminal mischief.
