PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The detention hearing scheduled for Tuesday for Ammon Bundy has been canceled.

As of mid-morning Tuesday, a new hearing has not been scheduled.

Lawyers for Bundy said he should be allowed to go back home to Idaho with a GPS monitoring device and with orders that he not leave the state except for court appearances.

Hearings for Joseph O’Shaughnessy and Peter Santili are still scheduled for late Tuesday morning.

The other protestors arrested during the FBI standoff at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge will be appearing in court sometime Wednesday.

Currently four people are still present at the wildlife refuge, despite Ammon Bundy’s requests to end the confrontation.

“To those at the refuge, please stand down. This was never meant to be an armed standoff,” said Bundy.

“We only came to expose abuse and educate people about their rights that’s protected by the constitution of the United States. Please do not make this something it was never meant to be.”

Rallies continue to spring up in Harney County, both for and against the occupation of the refuge.

The remaining protestors said they will leave, but only if they are not arrested.

The FBI said they are working to resolve the situation without incident.

Ammon Bundy several others were arrested by FBI officials at a traffic stop on Highway 395 last week.
