PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Bullets pierced a north Portland home and one shot blasted through the wall of a bedroom where a 75-year-old woman was sleeping.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired at a home on the 9100 block of North Chautauqua Boulevard at 11:21 p.m. Wednesday.

Investigators said they found evidence of gunfire in the street, as well as several bullet holes in the front of a house.

One round traveled through the 75-year-old woman's bedroom, but police said she was not hurt.

Another round went all the way through the home and out the back of the house.

FOX 12 spoke with the woman's grandson who said he can't believe his family is all OK.

"Yeah, it's crazy that nobody was hurt. But God was with us and He's on our side. And so I'm thanking Him right now because it could've gone, you know, it could've been really worse than it is right now."

Officers checked neighboring homes, but did not locate any additional damage or bullet holes. There were no reports of injuries.

Based on information gathered at the scene from neighbors, the Gang Enforcement Team responded to investigate.
