PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum will compete in the Skills Challenge as part of the NBA All-Star Game festivities.

The Skills Challenge is a three-round, obstacle-course competition that tests dribbling, passing, agility and three-point shooting, according to the NBA.

McCollum becomes the second Blazer in franchise history to compete in the event, which began in 2003.

Damian Lillard won the Skills Challenge as a rookie in 2013 and teamed up with Utah guard Trey Burke to win again the following year.

In his third season in the league, McCollum is averaging 20.9 points per game along with 4.3 assists per game. He is shooting a team-high 39.1 percent from beyond the three-point line.

Also competing in the Skill Challenge will be defending champion Patrick Beverley, Jordan Clarkson, DeMarcus Cousins, Anthony Davis, Draymond Green, Isaiah Thomas and Karl-Anthony Towns.

The event starts at 5 p.m. Feb. 13 on TNT.
