PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Two students from Oregon and Washington are in the running to have their artwork featured on Google's home page.

Bailey Volchok of Westview High School in Beaverton and Holly Halberg of Battle Ground High School both made the cut in Google's 'Doodle 4 Google' contest.

The theme for the contest this year was "What makes me...me."

Halberg's doodle, which is a finalist in the 8-9th grade group, shows various silhouettes over lines of text from a book.

Volchok's technology-themed doodle was selected as a finalist in the 10-12th grade group.

The public will vote on the best doodle in each grade group, and then a national winner will be chosen from those finalists. The winner will be featured on google.com.

You can vote for a winner until Feb. 22 at google.com/doodle4google.
