Vancouver driver who struck construction worker pleads guilty to DUI charge

VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

An impaired driver who hit a construction worker in a road work zone has plead guilty to DUI.

Kenneth Myers, 71, was sentenced to one day in jail, two days work crew, and five years probation in court on Friday.

On April 23, 2015, Myers was driving while under the influence when he hit and injured Berdan Lindberg, a road construction worker, on State Route 502 East in Vancouver.

During the five years of probation, Myers will have a breathalyzer interlock installed in his vehicle.
