PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A former employee at a northeast Portland optometry office is accused of secretly recording video of adults and children.

Joshua Karl Muller, 32, was arraigned in court Monday. He is facing 26 counts of invasion of personal privacy, 10 counts of second-degree encouraging child sex abuse and 10 counts of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct.

Muller was first arrested in June 2015 after police said he concealed his cell phone in the bathroom at Eyes on Broadway, 2300 N.E. Broadway St.

The business issued a statement following the initial arrest saying Muller was immediately fired and turned over to police when they learned of the allegations.

The district attorney's office issued a no complaint order regarding the initial charges, meaning they were dropped for the time being while investigators continued building a case.

Police said last summer they initially identified five victims, all employees at Eyes on Broadway. According to court documents, Muller is now also accused of recording at least 10 children, along with other men and women.

Following his arraignment this week, Eyes on Broadway issued another statement saying, "We are relieved to learn that charges have been filed. The safety and well-being of our employees and patients are of utmost importance to us. In the interest of protecting the privacy of those who were involved, we will have no further statement on this matter."

Muller is scheduled to appear in court again next month.
