FOX 12 and Les Schwab Tire Centers are proud to announce February’s “Be the Change” recipient Lee Ann Mead.

Mead is the founder of local non-profit organization “Sparks of Hope.” The goal of “Sparks of Hope” is to help children who have been abused.

The organization has several volunteers and support groups, as well as a couple of specially trained therapy dogs to help children recover.

Mead said “Sparks of Hope” gives abused children a voice and a chance to heal from the pain they have endured.

Visit their website at SparksOfHope.org or check out their Facebook page. You can learn more about the “Sparks of Hope” therapy dogs on their Facebook page.
