OREGON COAST (KPTV) -

Traffic officials are expecting heavy traffic along Highway 101 and other roads along the north coast due to Seaside Police Sergeant Jason Goodding’s memorial procession as well as a fallen tree on the road.

The procession will begin at 10:45 a.m. in Warrenton at Camp Rilea and will travel down Highway 101 towards Seaside.

Road crews will close the southbound lane for at least two hours.

The Oregon Department of Transportation said they also closed both lanes of Hwy 101 near Nehalem due to a downed tree and power lines. There is no word on how long the road closure will last.

Drivers along Hwy 101 as well as roads traveling out to the coast should expect major delays throughout Friday morning.
