PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Multnomah County’s section of Northwest Germantown Road from Skyline Boulevard to the Washington County Line was closed Friday afternoon due to clean up of an oil slick left in the road.

According to Multnomah County officials, it is unknown where the oil slick came from.

County Crews had to lay river sand on the oil slick to improve traction for cars on the steep road, which closed the road for a few hours.

The road has now been re-opened to traffic, according to Multnomah County officials.
