Beaverton High School held a week-long fundraising campaign called Week of Wishes for Make-A-Wish Oregon, and this year they hope to raise $20,000. On Friday, a wish kid joined in on the fundraising activities.

5-year-old Elijah joined the starting lineup for the high school's Jam the Dam rivalry basketball game.

Elijah is battling bone cancer. He was featured as part of the school's week-long fundraising campaign for Make-A-Wish Oregon.

In the past 13 years, Beaverton High School has raised more than $135,000, and all of the fundraising is completely student-run.

"It's really nice for them to do that. Anything that can get the word out about Make-A-Wish and helping Make-A-Wish, it's an amazing program that they do," said Elijah's dad.

Elijah's wish came true last fall when he went on a cruise. Perhaps the best news of all, Elijah's dad said his scans have come back clean one full year after finishing chemotherapy.
