Police: Plaid Pantry in NE Portland robbed at gunpoint

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A Plaid Pantry in Northeast Portland was robbed at gunpoint early Sunday morning, according to Portland Police.

Officers responded to the Plaid Pantry on Northeast Sandy Boulevard at 3:25 a.m. to the report of an armed robbery.

An employee told police that the suspect entered the store, armed with a handgun, and demanded money.

Police said the suspect left without incident after taking cash. The suspect possibly ran southbound on 141st drive.

Officers searched for the suspect, but could not find anyone matching the description.

According to police, the suspect is described as a white male, 35 to 40 years old, 5'6" tall, medium build, wearing dark clothing, and armed with a handgun.
