PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Two men were arrested on burglary charges after a Portland Police K-9 tracked them down at a storage facility in southeast Portland early Monday morning.

Portland police said they responded to reports of an alarm at the Public Storage facility at 2542 S.E. 105th Ave. around 3 a.m.

Police said they quickly established a perimeter around the facility while constantly receiving updates from the alarm company.

K-9 officer Hunter approached an area where the suspects were believed to be hiding. Immediately after, two men ran out of one of the units carrying armfuls of stolen property.

Police reports said both men surrendered after Hunter gave them a stern “bark.”

Portland police arrested 26-year-old David Mellis and 25-year-old Seng Meng Saechao. They are being held at the Multnomah County Jail.
