SALEM, Ore. (AP) - Two marijuana-related bills that would ease some worries for banks and also change the way Oregonians buy and sell pot gained momentum at the Capitol on Tuesday.

Senate Bill 1511 would allow recreational dispensaries to sell medical pot to patients tax-free. That would integrate Oregon's recreational and medical marijuana systems, which are currently governed separately. The bill moved out of committee and now heads to the Senate for a full vote.

Another marijuana proposal, House Bill 4094, received almost unanimous support in the House on Tuesday. That bill would exempt banks from state criminal liability for doing business with the pot industry. The proposal now heads to the Senate for further consideration.
