PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Bold thieves were caught on camera stealing from a small jewelry store in southeast Portland.

The owner of Cactus, on SE 79th and Stark, told FOX 12 she can't believe someone would steal her rings, and now she's rethinking store security.

Surveillance video shows the suspects, a man and a woman, taking their time looking through the store.

The owner, Adrienne Hatkin Seely, said she noticed the rings were missing last week. She went through security footage and noticed the woman breaking security strings holding the rings in the trays.

Hatkin Seely said the woman stole five rings, while the man was talking with the cashier and making a small purchase.

Hatkin Seely said the theft is very upsetting, especially since the rings are handmade.

"I think more than the financial loss, it's more a feeling of violation and anger. I keep on adding more security levels and apparently the only way to stop this is to put them under glass, but that really cuts into your sales. People need to touch the rings to connect with them and really feel them."

Hatkin Seely is hoping people can keep an eye out for the rings so they can be returned to the store.

If you recognize the suspects, please contact Portland Police.
