PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Wednesday is Digital Learning Day and to celebrate, a local teacher had a fun interactive science lesson with his students, but not in your average classroom.

Jason Webber is a teacher with Oregon Connections Academy and teaches kids in kindergarten to second grade – all online. He teaches from his northeast Portland home to students who log in to a chat room where they can watch from their homes.

Wednesday's lesson was how to make "flubber," the Play-Doh-like material that isn’t solid but isn't liquid either. Students were encouraged to try making their own at home.

"It really allows me to target specific things and answer questions one-on-one, as if I'm sitting right next to them," said Webber.

And in case you were wondering, they made the flubber using water, borax and glue.
