BOARDMAN, OR (KPTV) -

Police are investigating an educational assistant and coach at Riverside High School in Boardman on the report that he was supplying alcohol to a group of Riverside male athletes.

The Boardman Police Department requested assistance from the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office to investigate the allegations against 27-year-old Matthew Summers-Johnson.

The Morrow County School District suspended Summers-Johnson on February 9 pending an investigation.

According to deputies, Summers-Johnson was hired in the summer of 2015.

He also had a warrant for his arrest out of Clatsop County for a probation violation, from a previous DUII charge in 2004.

According to the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, Summers-Johnson was arrested Tuesday on the outstanding warrant.

Deputies said multiple charges of furnishing alcohol to minors are under review by the Morrow County District Attorney’s Office.
