Body of missing 54-year-old man found in SW Portland

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The body of a missing southwest Portland man was found after police asked for the public's help locating him.

Police put out an alert for 54-year-old Bruce Ryan Carman last month. He had been missing since Feb. 9.

Police said his body was found March 1 near his family's home.

The medical examiner determined Carman's death was a suicide.

The Portland Police Bureau wants the public to know help is available for anyone struggling from a mental health crisis or suicidal thoughts.

The Multnomah County Mental Health Call Center is available 24 hours a day at 503-988-4888.

Lines for Life is also available 24 hours a day at 800-273-TALK.

Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare, 503-963-2575, has an urgent walk-in clinic, open 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. seven days a week. Payment is not necessary.
