PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A Portland based athletic company has hired someone from the competition.

Adidas has hired the former CEO of Lululemon, Christine Day. She will serve as consultant to help focus on the women's athletic gear market, according to Fortune Magazine.

Day, who is also the CEO of a frozen food company called Luvo, resigned from Lululemon in 2013 after a mass recall of some yoga tights sold by Lululemon that were deemed too transparent.

Day said Adidas is already creating a different voice from other athletic brands because of its partnership with designer Stella McCartney.
