Body found on Washougal railroad tracks

WASHOUGAL, WA (KPTV) -

The Washougal Police Department is investigating after a man’s body was found on the railroad tracks Saturday morning.

A BNSF train crew noticed the body at the 2200 block of the railroad tracks between 20th Street and 24th Street and called 911, police said.

According to police, the person appears to be a white male in his 20’s.

The identity of the man has not been released at this time.

Police said foul play is suspected in this case.

Trains were stopped from approximately 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. while the investigation continued, according to Washougal Police.

Tracks are open and resuming normal traffic.
