Local store gets special needs shopping cart

VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

It will now be easier for some Clark County families to shop, thanks to a donation to a local Fred Meyer Store.

James Hanset, the founder of the non-profit The Great Bacon Race bought a special needs shopping cart to donate to a local store.

The Great Bacon Race raises money to help families who have children with special needs.

On Saturday, Hanset donated the shopping cart to the Fisher’s Landing Fred Meyer store and worked with a local family so they could be there to try it out.

On a post on the groups Facebook page, the family says they now can’t wait to go shopping again.

Hanset says he hopes other stores will get the special carts to help families who have children with special needs.
