HAZEL DELL, WA (KPTV) -

A second suspect has pleaded guilty in connection to the killing of a man at a Hazel Dell home in 2012.

Kirk Hernandez, 45, pleaded guilty last week to charges of second-degree murder and first-degree burglary. He was then sentenced to 19 years in prison.

Hernandez and Darrel Fry, 36, were arrested following the shooting death of Matthew Clark on Oct. 1, 2012 at a home on Northeast 25th Avenue, south of 99th Street in the Vancouver area.

Court documents state the pair went to Clark's home because he owed Hernandez $60 and meth, and because Hernandez and Clark had an arrangement involving stolen guns.

A week before the murder, investigators said Hernandez and two others broke into the Battle Ground home of a retired law enforcement officer and stole several guns and a sheriff's deputy badge out of Nevada.

The guns were given to Clark so he could sell them, according to investigators.

Fry previously pleaded guilty in November 2014 to the charge of manslaughter. He was sentenced to four years in prison, with credit for more than a year he had already served.
