VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

Two boys, ages 15 and 16, are both in custody, charged in Tuesday night’s carjacking, and court records released Thursday show how violent the crime really was.

Donnie Rodgers, 16, made his first court appearance in the case Thursday, charged with robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.

Court records detailing the carjacking note Rodgers and two other teens targeted Jeffrey Perron in a Vancouver Motel 6 parking lot.

The three suspects jumped into Perron’s car and demanded his keys. When Perron couldn’t find the key right away, documents show one of the teens put him in a choke hold before the teens punched Perron at least 20 times.

The suspects ordered Perron to get into the cargo area of his SUV behind the backseat and they started to drive off.

Fearing that he was going to be kidnapped or worse, Perron opened the back hatch and jumped out before they got too far.

Rodgers is being held on $50,000 bail, while a second teen, Mik’l Sandoval, is locked up in juvenile detention. The third suspect is still missing.
