CAMAS, WA (KPTV) -

People and pets should avoid Lacamas Lake due to a sewage spill, according to Clark County Public Health.

The spill occurred near 4700 N.W. Pacific Rim Blvd. in Camas. The leak was repaired by early Friday afternoon.

Health officials warned against contact with water in and around the lake and the path downstream, including Dwyer Creek and Lacamas Creek.

Warning signs have been posted in the affected areas.

The Washington State Department of Ecology is coordinating the response to the spill. Clark County Public Health will issue an update when the water no longer poses a threat to the health of people and pets.
