WASHOUGAL, WA (KPTV) -

A woman who pleaded guilty to hit-and-run for a collision that injured a 5-year-old boy in Washougal was sentenced to five years in prison.

Marsha Perry, also known as Marsha Santoro, was arrested in April 2015.

Emergency crews responded to reports of an injured child on North 22nd Street the evening of April 24. Investigators said Perry, 37, was driving a 1994 Ford F-150 pickup when she hit a boy who emerged from a driveway riding a "Big Wheel" tricycle.

Harrison Lucas was rushed to the hospital. His family said he suffered a concussion and fractured skull, but he came out of it OK.

Witnesses said Perry initially attempted to drive away from the scene, but then got out of her truck and walked away northbound toward Washougal River Road.

A K-9 team tracked Perry through a field. She was found hiding in a shallow hole and had covered herself with dirt, according to police.

Court documents showed Perry had at least 15 prior criminal convictions, including five felonies and driving violations, along with a felony warrant out of Multnomah County for ID theft, methamphetamine possession and providing false information to police. She also had a fugitive warrant out of Clark County.

Perry pleaded guilty to hit-and-run with injuries in October 2015. An additional charge of driving while suspended was dismissed as part of her plea agreement.

She was sentenced to five years in prison on the hit-and-run charge Friday.
