BEND, OR (KPTV) -

Hydro Flask, the Bend, Oregon-based maker of insulated stainless steel flasks, announced Monday that it's being acquired by Helen of Troy, a consumer products company based in El Paso, Texas.

Helen of Troy owns brands such as OXO, Honeywell, Revlon, Braun and Vicks.

Hydro Flask said its headquarters will remain in Bend and it will not lay off any employees as a result of the acquisition.

"Our team is thrilled to join the ranks of Helen of Troy's smart and creative brands," Hydro Flask President and CEO Scott Allan said in a statement. "This offers us an incredible opportunity for continued growth and industry leadership, thanks to the efficiencies and global resources provided by Helen of Troy."

According to a news release, Hydro Flask has been named one of Portland Business Journal's fastest-growing private companies in Oregon.
