Fourth person arrested in assault case in Klamath Co.

KLAMATH FALLS, OR (KPTV) -

The husband of a suspect in the sexual assault of a woman in Klamath County has now also been arrested by the Oregon State Police.

John Adam Raley, 50, of Klamath Falls, was arrested Tuesday in connection with the investigation into the beating and sexual assault of a woman while she was in the care of family.

According to the OSP, the victim was committed to the State Hospital in Salem by Court Order, but when she was admitted she had severe injuries. She was immediately transferred to Salem Hospital in critical condition.

Raley faces charges of kidnapping, assault and strangulation, and is being kept in the Klamath County Jail.

Raley’s wife, Florence Marie Raley, 56, and two others, Melissa Ann Shanholtzer, 24, and John Sterling Martin, 29, also face multiple charges in the case.
