PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Cats were observing cats at the Portland Art Museum, all in celebration of the "world's greatest cat painting."

The Portland Art Museum is featuring the painting entitled "My Wife's Lovers." It features 42 felines owned by San Francisco philanthropist Kate Birdsall Johnson.

This month, the museum and the Oregon Humane Society are partnering up. On Thursday, the society had adoptable cats displayed by the painting.

They will host "Caturdays" every Saturday this month, which will focus on cats.

"During three Saturdays, their cat expert is going to be on site here talking about the various breeds and personalities of the cats in conjunction with one of our docents to speak about the painting. We're calling them 'cat chats,'" said Laura Bartroff, director of communications for the Portland Art Museum.

Portland's own Moshow The "Cat Rapper" will be making an appearance.

He is scheduled to perform at the museum on March 12.  Admission to the museum will be free that day.
