BORING, OR (KPTV) -

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office detectives are still investigating the death of Katherine Rusk, 38, whose body was found on the side of a road in Boring Thursday morning.

Rusk's body was found on the side of Southeast 282nd Ave. near Southeast Haley Road around 6:45 a.m. Preliminary indications were that Rusk was hit by a vehicle.

CCSO now believe the hit-and-run happened in the early evening on Wednesday.

Autopsy done on Friday confirmed that Rusk died from head trauma when she was struck by a vehicle.

According to deputies, the Ford F-150 two-door work truck involved in the crash has been found, and is being looked at for further forensic analysis.

The driver of the vehicle has also been identified, and detectives have spoken with the person, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.

Anyone with information is asked to please contact the CCSO tip line at (503) 723-4949.
