CLACKAMAS COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fatal crash outside of Molalla Friday evening.

According to deputies, the crash happened just after 7:15 p.m. near the 32000 block of South Palmer Road.

A caller told dispatchers that a 2005 Honda Accord had two males inside and appeared to be badly injured, according to deputies.

An officer with the Molalla Police Department and medical personnel from the Molalla Fire District arrived and found both occupants in the vehicle to be deceased.

Police identified the victims in the crash as Doug Bonham, 30, of Silverton, and  Matthew Albrecht, 16 of Woodburn.

Bonham was a fifth and sixth grade teacher, and a GoFundMe has been created to help his family.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, however preliminary reports point to speed as a contributing factor according to deputies.
