WASATCH COUNTY, UT (KPTV) -

Rescue crews used an air boat to rescue a dog that had been stuck on a frozen reservoir for five days.

The dog got stranded on the ice at Deer Creek Reservoir in Wasatch County, Utah on Feb. 29.

When rescuers first tried to pull the dog back to land, he fell into the icy water.

The Wasatch County Sheriff's Office then called in an air boat crew to help. The Sheriff's Office posted video of the rescue on Facebook on Friday.

A crew member was able to grab the dog by the collar and pull him into the boat.

The Sheriff's Office said the dog is safe and is doing well.
