VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

A woman who was jogging in Vancouver over the weekend is asking for the public’s help to identify the man she claims groped her.

The assault happened in the Rose Village neighborhood early Sunday morning.

The victim does not want to be identified, but said she wants other women to keep an eye out for this man.

The 38-year-old woman was jogging down S Street near East 29th Street just before 8:00 a.m. when a man suddenly came up behind her and grabbed her backside.

Investigators said the jogger confronted the man and chased after him for a bit, but then lost him and called police. Officers searched, but could not find the suspect.

There is a park and an elementary school near the site of the incident, and people in the area said they would not expect such a bold thing to happen here.

Officers said the suspect is a Hispanic man in his late teens to mid-20s, with a large build and a mustache.
