PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Bee season has officially arrived, and the Portland Golf Club had to relocate a hive of wild bees Monday morning.

The bees set up camp in a tree on the golf course, and a crew from Urban Bees and Gardens helped relocate them. They say wild bees that create hives in trees are considered genetically stronger because they thrive without any help from people.

They now plan to introduce those bees to other bee populations around town.
