LAKE OSWEGO, OR (KPTV) -

A body that was pulled from the Willamette River in Lake Oswego Monday evening has been identified Tuesday as a missing West Linn man.

Police said Duane Downs, 64, had been missing from his home since noon Sunday.

A fisherman found a man's body floating in the Willamette River in Lake Oswego Monday evening.

The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office said the fisherman found the body floating in the water around 5:15 p.m.

The Lake Oswego Fire Department responded and moved the body to Foothills Park, where the Multnomah County river patrol took over and began a death investigation.

The man was later identified as Downs.

Deputies said Downs died as a result of drowning, and there were no indications of foul play.
