VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

Two K-9s with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office will receive bullet and stab protective vests, thanks to a donation from nonprofit Vested Interest in K9s

Vests for Ringo and Jango are sponsored by a fundraiser headed by Aaron Tyger of Vancouver.

Ringo’s vest will be embroidered with "In loving memory of K9 Lucky," in honor of CCSO K-9 Lucky, who was killed in the line of duty in May 1990. Jango’s vest will have "In loving memory of K9 Kane" in honor of CCSO K-9 Kane, who was killed in the line of duty in April of 2011.

The vests are expected to arrive within eight to 10 weeks.
