TUALATIN, OR (KPTV) -

Rangers at the Tualatin Hills Nature Park are warning visitors about some unwelcome wildlife encounters.

The news of owl attacks at a Salem park went viral last year. A spoof was done by the Rachel Maddow Show, and even an owl attack IPA from Vagabond Brewery.

Now, rangers have put up signs in the Tualatin Hills Nature Park warning visitors that there have been incidents along the trail where owls have swooped down at visitors.

Rangers say this is normal territorial behavior during breeding season. They say owls usually swoop down on people walking around dusk.
