Cherry Blossom Day to be held at Oregon State Capitol

SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

It's that time of year again, the cherry blossoms are out at the Oregon State Capitol.

On March 19, the observation platform above the Oregon State Capitol will be open to the public for the first time in 2016 during Cherry Blossom Day at the Capitol.

There will be activities for children and families to take part in. Some of those activities include kite flying, martial arts demonstration, a Japanese tea ceremony and Taiko drummers.

Tours will be given on March 19 starting at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 pm.
