A man was arrested Friday morning on burglary related charges, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded just before 6:40 a.m. to the 8500 block of Red Prairie Road on the report of a burglary in progress.

The information that was relayed through 911 was that a man had broken into the house and was currently inside.

According to deputies, the homeowner was not there at the time.

A Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputy, along with a Dallas Police officer responded to the scene and surrounded the home.

The deputy began to call out to the man inside, according to the release.

Deputies said a short time later, the man emerged from the house with his hands in the air, surrendering without incident.

Deputies determined that the suspect, Bradley Bond, 38, of Monmouth, forced open a side door to get into the house.

According to deputies, a crowbar was found during a search of Bond's car, along with methamphetamine.

Bond is at the Polk County Jail and faces multiple charges including Burglary I, trespass I, theft I, criminal mischief II, and possession of methamphetamine.
