Longview home destroyed in early morning fire

LONGVIEW, WA (KPTV) -

A fire destroyed Longview home early Friday morning.

Longview Police & Fire said they responded to the fire around 4:39 a.m.

When crews arrived to the home, located in the 200 block of 28th Avenue, they found heavy fire coming from the home and threatening the house next door.

LP&F said all residents were able to make it out of the home safely and were attempting to extinguish the fire when crews arrived.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control in about 30 minutes. Crews worked for several hours extinguishing hot spots.

The home is considered a total loss.

Fire investigators are investigating the fire, and the cause of the fire is not yet determined.
