VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

A man accused of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl he met on an app called Whisper will spend more than a year behind bars.

Sean Clark of Portland pleaded guilty to charges of third-degree child rape and harassment with death threats in February.

Clark was arrested in May 2015 after he was found in a car with a 14-year-old girl, according to court documents. He was 45 years old at the time of his arrest.

A deputy spotted the car with fogged up windows parked behind a church, court documents state. A probable cause affidavit states the girl admitted she and Clark had sex and they had met through the app Whisper.

Whisper allows users to post messages anonymously, and other users can respond either publicly or privately.

Clark was sentenced Tuesday to 18 months in prison and three years post-prison supervision. He must also register as a sex offender.
