OLYMPIA, WA (KPTV) -

Watch out, left lane hogs: The Washington State Patrol is coming for you.

Troopers statewide will be on the lookout this week for drivers who stay in the left lane for extended periods of time.

Offending drivers will be pulled over and could face a ticket.

According to state law, the left lane is reserved for passing on roads that have two or more lanes going in the same direction.

WSP said troopers stopped nearly 14,000 left-lane law violators in 2015.
