A 24-year-old woman was taken into custody after two people were shot multiple times in a home on the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Reservation.

The Warm Springs Police Department received a report of a double shooting at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers arrived and found two adult victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

A 34-year-old woman was taken by helicopter to a Bend hospital in critical condition. A 35-year-old man was taken by ambulance to the hospital in serious condition.

Investigators said the woman is a tribal member, but the man is not.

Two other people in the home were not injured.

About 100 yards from the crime scene, officers found a 24-year-old woman on the ground next to a rifle.

She was taken into custody and the FBI said she would be booked into the Warm Springs Correctional Facility after being interviewed by investigators.

The suspect is related to at least some of the people who were in the home at the time of the shooting. A possible motive was not released by investigators.

The FBI is not releasing the suspect's name until formal charges are filed.
