Sheriff: Man with warrant, suspended license caught with meth during traffic stop

LEBANON, OR (KPTV) -

A man with a warrant for his arrest and a suspended driver's license was caught with meth in his car during a traffic stop in Lebanon, according to deputies.

A deputy stopped a 2002 PT Cruiser at 12:52 p.m. Wednesday near Airport Road and Stoltz Hill Road for a traffic violation.

The driver was identified as Roger Lavern Clay, 51, of Lebanon.

A search of the car led to the discovery of 2 1/2 ounces of methamphetamine, as well as packaging material, digital scales, drug paraphernalia and $1,208 in cash, according to the Linn County Sheriff's Office.

Clay was arrested on charges of unlawful possession and delivery of meth, unlawful delivery of meth within 1,000 feet of a school and driving while suspended.

Deputies said he was also charged with an outstanding warrant for a probation violation of driving while suspended.
