Police: Two arrested after drugs, paraphernalia, firearm found in car; hotel room

ALBANY, OR (KPTV) -

Albany Police arrested two people as a result of an ongoing investigation, according to Albany Police.

The investigation began after police found a stolen 2011 Hyundai Tucson at the Santiam Rest Area on I-5, just north of Albany.

At the time of their arrest, Eric Agee, 37, and Shawna Smith, 28, were found with methamphetamine, money, and a loaded firearm.

An investigation led detectives to the Howard Johnson Inn Hotel on Mission Street in southeast Salem, where the two suspects rented a room.

Detectives then executed a search warrant on the hotel.

As a result of the investigation, detectives seized nearly one pound of methamphetamine, 1/4 of a pound of heroin, over two thousand dollars in, a loaded semi-automatic handgun, packaging material, scales, and related drug paraphernalia.

Agee and Smith are both in the Linn County Jail on multiple charges including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of heroin, conspiracy to deliver heroin, and felon in possession of a firearm
